The Group IST METZ

IST METZ is an international group consisting of 14 companies with more than 500 employees worldwide and a total group turnover of Euro 67 Million.
The Company operates from 21.800 m² of production area and office space, including also the UV Transfer Center with a seven color sheet-fed offset press for trainings and tests. The company has sales and service companies in England, USA, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. IST METZ is also present in more than 70 countries with 56 representatives worldwide.

IST UV-Equipment

IST METZ develops, manufactures and distributes UV equipment for the environmentally friendly curing of solvent-free inks, varnishes, silicones and adhesives.
UV-curable coatings were first developed by the chemicals industry in 1966-67. This was the starting point for the rapid development of UV technology. The coatings developed were either totally free of solvents, or low in solvents, and curing (polymerisation) could only take place using UV energy of particular wavelength.
The success story of IST UV equipment began under the leadership of Gerhard Metz (Dipl. Ing FH) following the development of the first IST UV equipment (at that time still at the Hildebrand company).
