Chocolatebox - a chance?
IST METZ informs about exciting niches among printing competitors 15 – 18 June 2009
With another event of our in-house and information exhibition UV DAYS IST informed around 600 print experts from around the world about the chances to establish oneself crisis-proof in niches. Under the motto “breaking out of the mould” examples were shown how printers can specialise oneself.
No doubt: The printing industry suffers worldwide by the economic crisis as current figures show. However exactly owing to this precise reason IST METZ decided to go ahead with the taking place of our in-house exhibition.
In numerous presentations and tours for the visitors from entire Europe, Asia and South America, at 22 booths on the ground floor of the new IST building as well as on-the-job performances in our UV Transfer Center it was clearly shown, how this niche could look like.
By means of the theme Food Packaging IST METZ presented the possibilities thanks to the special features in connection with UV technology in the printing process – and not only by the optimization of the process and the efficient technology but also by the development of the niche markets.
The visitors took the exhibition as a chance, to get together for exchange of experiences. The programme of the presentations in German and in English, workshops and presentations ended with a casual informative Come together in the UV LOUNGE. Providing several opportunities for the visitors, hosts and exhibitors to meet each other and elaborate possibilities to enhance the current tough atmosphere in the branch with individual cyclical highlights.
