IST METZ nominated for small business prize recognising social responsibility

There was an intensive selection process for the annual prize-giving ceremony, organised by Caritas Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, with the ten-man jury for the "Small Business Prize for Social Responsibility" particularly impressed with the idea by IST METZ to closely collaborate with the workshop on the Neckar in Wendlingen. Even before the actual ceremony took place in the "Haus der Wirtschaft" on 13th July, it was clear that a nomination among the top five was to be expected. Together with the archbishop of the Freiburg archdiocese Dr. Robert Zollitsch and Rottenburg Bishop Dr. Gebhard Fürst, Finance and Economic Minister Dr. Nils Schmid awarded the prizes. Despite missing out on first prize in the category for companies with a maximum of 500 employees, just to have received the nomination is something that the company can be very proud of. As Dirk Jägers explains: "This has shown us that we are really setting an example for others with our concept. Not only for our apprentices but for other companies too." An important aim is to connect the workshop with companies in the region.
