The main task of the UV Transfer Center is to share UV knowledge and provide our customers with application-oriented advice on any matter related to UV technology. The UV Transfer Center (UVTC) was set up in May 2004 and is located right in the headquarters of IST Metz GmbH in Nürtingen. It works in close collaboration with UV Systems Sales and Marketing and with the IST Metz Service and Research & Development departments. This facility further cements the contact between manufacturers, users and industry partners.
Benefit from our expertise! Our comprehensive advice on any matter related to UV curing is based on over 40 years’ experience as manufacturer of high-quality UV systems. In the UV Transfer Center, you can find out everything about benefits like:
You can also learn about other properties of industrial UV lamps and LEDs for your specific application process of surface treatment. Get profound consulting about your UV system and the most efficient use of it!
Gain basic knowledge of UV and LED UV technologies with their benefits for various applications in industrial curing processes.
The UV Transfer Center offers a comprehensive programme of courses and seminars. The target group is made up of printers, staff and managers from the graphic design industry who are planning to get into UV technology or who want to intensify their application-specific knowledge in UV drying. The training program can be divided up into theoretical and practical sections offered separately or together.
The UV Transfer Center has a 7-colour sheet-fed offset printing press, including a coating unit, for print trials. Experience efficient printing ink curing with UV technology from IST METZ. Both conventional printing inks and hybrid/UV printing inks can be printed.
The UV system audit analyses the components of a UV system. Proposals for servicing, spare parts and energy-saving potential are worked out on the basis of the results of this analysis. The UV process audit is aimed at users of the UV technology. Their expertise is teased out by specific questions and proposals for needs-related training are then submitted.
The look and handle of printed materials are playing an increasingly important role in print finishing. We analyse print samples with regard to degree of finishing, ink-drying quality (curing) and design.
If you have more than one UV system, it makes sense to talk about heat recovery. We collaborate on a project to work out the optimum energy efficiency of your UV system, taking account of your production set-up.
Our aim is to develop specific solutions in close cooperation with clients and to integrate them in the production process to optimum effect. In addition to internal series of experiments, our laboratory is also available to customers for trials to determine the optimum system parameters for the product in question. We would be pleased to advise you on any matter related to UV curing.
