The new LED system LEDcure


A clever modular basic concept combined with its extremely robust and compact design allows the user maximum flexibility and versatility. The system is freely scalable in length and can be adapted to all machine formats and installation situations. This makes it possible to use a LEDcure unit at different positions on a machine. In combination with decades of experience in tailor-made machine integration, the compact design ensures the user access to important areas of the printing press at any time.

XT8 Booster: Synergies effectively used

The new LEDcure completes the entire redesigned LED solution range, which IST offers together with its subsidiary Integration Technology Ltd. (ITL). Synergies between the two companies increasingly come into effect, such as XT8 Booster. Thanks to the new booster technology, the LEDcure has up to 30% more power than conventional LED systems. Other highlights of the new LEDcure include the simple exchange of the optics or the possibility of retrofitting the LED chips.  


Performance paired with flexibility

At the usual distance of 50 mm to 100 mm from the substrate, the new LEDcure offers a very high performance in sheetfed offset printing. This is not only due to the maximum irradiation intensity, the so-called peak, but the wide irradiation field of the LEDcure also offers an extra drying time, also called dose. It is often as decisive for efficient curing of the LED colours and lacquers as the peak. As a result, customers and suppliers of consumables have more flexibility in the design and choice of paints and varnishes.

XT8 - UV LED Booster

The concept of optical coupling out and heat management newly developed with the XT8 technology permits an output up to 30 % higher; this simultaneously treats the LED chips gently, increases service life and protects the chips from external effects.

XFine - Optimized format adaptation

Format adaptation has been further improved, so the irradiated area can be set in increments of 30 mm. The new LEDcure provides optional adjustment in 15 mm increments.

Deep Cure Optik

The extremely high-performance LED system not only achieves optimum values for surface curing, but does so even at very great distances and maximum press speed. The specially-developed Deep Cure optical system improves penetration of the entire ink and varnish layer and delivers highly efficient deep curing.

Xtra Energy

With an irradiation power of 13 W/cm² at a distance of 70 mm to the substrate. The broad irradiated area of the LEDcure furthermore provides an energy boost which, together with the peak output, has a key influence on the effective curing of LED inks and varnishes.

Energy savings

LEDcure is immediately operational, it does not need time to warm up. Additional energy-saving potential is provided by the ability to switch off the unit during pauses in production, adapting the LED unit to the print format and the dimmable output of the LEDcure.
