The air-cooled MBSc (Modular Building Block System compact) is based on a modular system and can be used variably. With a high output of 200 W/cm, the compact and powerful UV unit can be used wherever users place high demands on curing. The MBSc has specially doped lamps whose ballasts are precisely matched to them. The URS swivel reflectors used consist of so-called cold light mirrors with more than 60 different metal oxide layers. The particularly resistant reflectors are characterised by very long service lives and optimum heat management. URS technology has a significantly higher reflectance than conventional reflectors.

Benefits

Electronic power supply ELC-Xi
Fitted with the same ELC-Xi type electronic power supply devices as standard. They can be used to continously regulate the dimming range of the UV lamp. The compact stacking concept reduces the required space by up to 50% and guarantees easy access to the devices at all times.
UV measuring - UV Analyzer
With the UV Anaylzer, an app-based UV measuring device enables the output to be controlled as required, thus preventing machine downtimes.
Warranty
IST METZ provides a warranty for 10,000 operating hours on URS type reflectors and 2,500 operating hours on UV lamps.
Economy - MBSc
In addition to savings achieved by low-energy production, the availability of the printing press can also be improved. The MBSc has been specifically designed to ensure that machine downtimes are reduced. All servicing work can be performed quickly and easily, saving both time and money.

URS turning reflectors
The URS turning reflectors used with cold mirror technology lead to a reduced web temperature. The reflectors are made up of cold mirror reflectors with more than 60 different metal oxide layers. The particularly resistant reflectors are characterised by very long service lives and optimum heat management.
Air cooling for UV lamps
The exhaust air volume and the air flow for cooling the MBSc UV unit have been optimised for low flow speeds, resulting in a very low noise level. Machine downtimes for cleaning are thus kept to a minimum.
Smart control
The new generation of LAMPcure/ LEDcure can be equipped with the Smart Control system user interface. This makes the operation of UV systems clear, it is easy to use and it allows straightforward integration into the control systems of all common kinds of printing press.
Quick-change cassette MBSc
The MBSc is equipped with quick-change cassette. The inner housing with lamp, reflector and swivel drive can simply be pushed into the outer housing. All supply connections can be plugged in automatically. The exhaust air volume and the air flow for cooling the unit have also been optimised to reduce soiling of the lamp and reflector. Machine downtimes can thus be reduced to a minimum.

Like all new curing units from IST METZ, the modular MBSc is equipped with the Smart Control system user interface. This makes system operation clear, easy to use and enables uncomplicated integration into the control system of all common types of printing presses.

The inner housing of the MBSc with lamp, reflector and swivel drive can simply be inserted into the outer housing. All supply connections are automatically pluggable. The exhaust air volume and the air flow for cooling the unit have also been optimised to reduce soiling of the lamp and reflector. Machine downtimes can thus be reduced to a minimum.

With its extremely compact design and an output of 160 W/cm, this UV system offers maximum efficiency and performance for high curing requirements.
