At interpack 2026, IST METZ will present a comprehensive portfolio of curing solutions for the packaging industry in Hall 8, Booth B48, as part of the PrintCity joint booth. The focus will be on systems designed to meet different requirements in modern production environments.

FREEcure – water-cooled UV performance for demanding applications

With FREEcure, IST METZ will present a water-cooled UV system for demanding applications. In addition to uniform radiation distribution, the particularly high proportion of short-wave UV radiation enables the curing of printing inks and coatings without photoinitiators or with a reduced photoinitiator content when appropriately designed formulations are used.

This can be particularly relevant for migration-sensitive applications, as reducing or eliminating photoinitiators can help reduce corresponding sources of migration. However, actual migration depends on the entire ink, coating, substrate and process system.

At the booth, IST METZ will showcase application samples from the flexible packaging sector, demonstrating potential uses of the technology in packaging printing.

LEDcure NX – high-performance LED UV curing

LEDcure NX combines a modular design, water-cooled thermal management and emission characteristics tailored to industrial applications.

The system requires no warm-up time and can be operated according to the requirements of the production process. In combination with SMARTcure, LEDcure NX supports job-specific output settings. Format-dependent zone control also enables only the required LED segments to be activated.

THERMOcure – targeted heat for thermal processes

With THERMOcure, IST METZ expands its portfolio with a solution for thermal processes. The system enables uniform and targeted heat input and is suitable for applications that combine UV and thermal drying. Integration into existing systems allows different production processes to be configured flexibly.

UV Analyzer – real-time process control

The UV Analyzer enables UV dose measurement even in applications that are difficult to access using conventional measurement methods. The app-based evaluation takes the unit type and spectrum into account for UV and LED systems. Measurements are performed using calibrated measurement strips and enable the recorded values to be documented in mJ/cm².

With these solutions, IST METZ will present a range of technologies for UV, LED UV and thermal curing in the packaging industry.
